About 5K DASH
In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month we invite you to join us for our Annual 5K DASH Against Domestic Violence. The 5K will be virtual again this year and therefore have extended the event to be a weekend long event.
We encourage you to run or walk our 5K (3.1 miles) with us! Your pace, your place. Share your route, stories, and photos with us on our Laurel House 5K DASH Facebook page. Use the hashtags #LHDASH and #5KDASH. We will be posting pictures, statistics, and videos throughout the weekend.

Awards will be given in the following categories:
- Individual who raises the most amount of money
- Team that raises the most amount of money
- Largest team
Proceeds from the 5K go directly to support Laurel House’s domestic violence shelter and supportive services. Each year, Laurel House advocates provide life-saving services to over 1,700 individuals in the community who are impacted by domestic violence.
A Virtual Race is a race you can run at any location, at your pace, outside or on a treadmill, alone or with a group of friends. Train and stay active, run for a good cause and have fun!
Family, friends and pets are all welcome! Create a team with your friends and family and fundraise together!
Registration is open! Register by October 1 to ensure your shirt for the race weekend, but we do offer registration throughout the event weekend!
There is no fundraising requirement. However, if 200 people register and each participant raises $100 we would reach our goal of $20,000!!
Please make checks payable to Laurel House. If you are supporting a participant be sure to include their name on the memo line so we can apply the credit to their fundraising page. Payments can be mailed to: Laurel House/5K DASH, PO BOX 764, Norristown, PA 19404.
Yes, if you register before XXXXX it’s $35. Registration after XXX is $40.00
No, unfortunately we do not have the capabilities to time this virtual race. Feel free to time yourself and challenge your friends and family!
For those who have attended the 5K DASH in the past, you know one of the big hits at the refreshment table is Pat’s Pumpkin Dip.
